The investigation of a prostitute homicide brings heavy-handed Detective Manfred (Leon Lai) in an unlikely collaboration with sly, man-of-the-world Inspector Kee (Richie Jen) from the Narcotics Bureau. When the DNA samples of one of Manfred’s fellow officers are found at the crime scene, implicating him as the prime suspect, Manfred must look beyond the obvious to get to the truth.

Meanwhile, Kee’s uncanny eagerness to lend a helping hand every step of the way outside his own turf is beginning to smack of evil. In the line of fire between high levels of corruption and possible malice, Manfred must solve all the twists and turns of the mystery, trying to figure out who his enemy is and how to save his innocent partner from unfathomable disgrace. Unwittingly, he is about to open a Pandora’s Box that will threaten to upend the entire Hong Kong Police Force.

Na das nenn ich mal fix. Teddy und Peter Chans hochkarätig besetztes Actiondrama Bodyguards and Assassins ist im Dezember erst in Hong Kongs Kinos angelaufen und soll dort laut YesAsia bereits am 8. Februar bereits als DVD und Blu-ray Disc erscheinen. Englische Untertitel sind bei der Kam & Ramson Veröffentlichung dabei, bei der Blu-ray Disc muss man als nicht Region A’ler allerdings abwarten wie sich K&R diesmal entscheiden.

Was lange währt, wird hoffentlich endlich gut. Über 1 1/2 Jahre nach der ersten Ankündigung im Mai 2008, steht nun endlich der Termin für die Blu-ray Disc Veröffentlichung von Fallen Angels fest. Laut Amazon.com soll Wong Kar-Wais 1995er Drama am 16. März 2010 bei Kino International in den USA erscheinen.
Ursprünglich sollte Fallen Angels im Herbst 2008 die erste Blu-ray Disc des Labels werden, inzwischen wurden jedoch schon andere Titel veröffentlicht, die erfreulicherweise alle ohne den lästigen Regionalcode auskamen.
