Frohe Kunde für das noch junge neue Jahr! Production I.G hat einen neuen Anime aus dem Ghost in the Shell Universum angekündigt. Ghost in the Shell Arise angekündigt. Die Regie übernimmt Kazuchika Kise, für das Skript wird Tow Ubukata (Mardock Scramble) verantwortlich sein. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Regisseur Kenji Kamiyama wird leider nicht an dem Projekt beteiligt sein.
Die Serie soll am 12. Februar während eines Launch Events der japanischen Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt werden, erste bewegte Bilder dürften wohl kurze Zeit später im Netz landen. Auf der offiziellen Website darf man jedoch schonmal die neue Madame Motoko bestaunen.
