Is there some kind of official Takashi Miike holiday today in Japan? Because AV Watch announced the home video release of three of his films today.

VAP Video strikes first and will release Miike’s 2009 live-action adaptation of the Yatterman manga/anime on September 25th.
Mmmh, Kyoko Fukada as villainesse Doronjo in leather high definition…

Without Kyoko Fukada but starring Kuroki Meisa and also based on a manga series, Crows Zero I and II will be released by Happinet in the same week (October 2nd that is).
Less enjoyable than the pictures of the nice ladies is the fact that VAP Video and Happinet won’t include English subtitles on these releases.
But at least our French friend can rejoice because Wild Side Video will release both parts of Crows Zero on BD in August and November.

Another month, another trailer for Takashi Miike’s Yatterman live-action adaptation. Running for almost two minutes the eye-popping trailer shows a funky dance routine, some CGI fighting, pucking pigs and some more of sweet, leather-loving villainesse Doronjo played by Kyoko Fukuda who tries to conquer the world (meaning Japan) by stealing landmarks. Can’t wait to see how all this stuff comes together when Yatterman opens March 17, 2009 and hopefully hits our shores a bit later.

Takashi Miike, du oller Fuchs. Erst verkaufst du deine Yatterman Verfilmung als knallbuntes Kinderabenteuer und dann steckst du Kyoko Fukuda in so ein Kostüm für ihre Rolle als Bösewichtin Doronjo. Ohne Lack und Maske macht die junge Dame übrigens auch einiges her.

Nachdem Japans Tausendsassa Takashi Miike in den bisherigen Teasern zu seiner knallbunten und kindgerechten Verfilmung der Yatterman Animeserie wirklich nur mehr oder weniger Einzelszenen gezeigt hatte, gibt es im ersten ordentlichen Trailer nun auch ein paar Actionshots zu sehen. Yatterman soll am 7. März 2009 in die japanischen Kinos kommen und bei Miikes Ruf dürfte eine Veröffentlichung im Westen nicht lange auf sich warten lassen.

Der ewigfleißige Kevin von Nippon Cinema hat einen zweiten Teaser Trailer zu Takashi Miike’s Realverfilmung der Yatterman Animeserie aus den 70er Jahren auf der offiziellen Website zum Film entdeckt. Viel sieht man aber, genau wie bei ersten Teaser Trailer, leider nicht. Takashi is halt nen Fuchs…
