aaah, finally something that looks like a nice slow animated brainfuck from our cultural overlords. Kūchū Buranko (Trapeze) is the adaptation of a short story collection by Hideo Okuda that will air in eleven episodes in a mix between traditional animation and live-action segments on Japanese TV starting October 15th. It tells the story of a psychiatrist, his unusual and versatile patients and a (not so?) nice nursed played and voiced by gravure idol Yumi Sugimoto. Kenji Nakamura, director of the amazing Mononoke series will helm the project.
