First Trailer for Kim Ji-Woon’s The Last Stand

First Trailer for The Last Stand directed by Kim Ji-Woon (I Saw The Devil, A Bittersweet Life and The Good, The Bad & The Weird) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Forest Whitaker and Peter Stormare.

The Last Stand opens in January 2013.
Synopsis:

Sheriff Owens is a man who has resigned himself to a life of fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction after leaving his LAPD post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with failure and defeat after his partner was crippled. After a spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy, the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the hemisphere is hurtling toward the border at 200 mph in a specially outfitted car with a hostage and a fierce army of gang members. He is headed, it turns out, straight for Summerton Junction, where the whole of U.S. law enforcement will have their last opportunity to make a stand and intercept him before he slips across the border forever. At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately accepts responsibility for the face off.

A First Look at Kim Ji-Woon and Yim Pil Sung’s DOOMSDAY BOOK

Several years after the first mentioning, the first poster and several very interesting stills have been releases for the three-part omnibus from South Korean directors Kim Ji-Woon (A Bittersweet Life, The Good The Bad The Weird, I Saw The Devil) and Yim Pil Sung (Antarctic Journal) Doomsday Book. The film is supposed to be released in March, so a first trailer should be just around the corner…

I Saw The Devil: International and Theatrical Cut on Blu-ray Disc

Good news for those who can’t or just don’t want to decide if they prefer the international or theatrical cut (check out wildgrounds’ comparison) of Kim Ji-Woon’s bloody thriller I Saw The Devil (악마를 보았다 ). The South Korean distributor Blue Kino announced to release a Blu-ray Disc set that will include both versions and English subtitles on July 27th.
Judging from the product image I stole from YesAsia, the set consists of two standard amarays packed inside a (limited) slipcase. Too bad they didn’t use the nice fold-out package from the already released DVD set

I Saw The Devil: Ab April auf Blu-ray Disc und DVD

Splendid Entertainment will release Kim Ji-Woon’s (A Tale of Two Sisters, A Bittersweet Life, The Good, the Bad, the Weird) Thriller I Saw The Devil (악마를 보았다 ) starring Choi Min-Sik and Lee Byung-Hun (A Bittersweet Life) on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in Germany on April 15th. These releases won’t have English subtitles, so if you don’t understand German I’m afraid you’ll have to wait for an International release…which haven’t been announced yet.
