Second Trailer and Clips for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Warner released a second trailer and some short clips for the first of three parts of Peter Jackson’s adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit.

Synopsis:

“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” follows title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakensheild. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers. Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever…Gollum.
Here, alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, the unassuming Bilbo Baggins not only discovers depths ofguile and courage that surprise even him, he also gains possession of Gollum’s “precious” ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities … A simple, gold ring that is tied to the fate of all Middle-earth in ways Bilbo cannot begin to know.

First Stunning Trailer for Cloud Atlas

Hey, guess who’s back from his overlong spring hiatus thanks to this amazing over five minutes long first trailer for 20th Century Fox’s adaptation of David Mitchell’s Cloud Atlas novel.
Tom Tykwer and The Wachowski will try to push over 1000 years of human misery into 164 minutes of film. Personally I can’t wait to see the two chapters (if they follow the novel) portraying the future of mankind.

Cloud Atlas will open in October 2012.
Synopsis:

An exploration of how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.
