Almost six years after the release of the first episode, Geneon published a first trailer for the tenth and final episode of their Hellsing Ultimate OVA series. Expect lots of blood, fire and nazi madness.
To finally end the wait for the US fans, FUNimation will release a Blu-ray Disc collection with the first four episodes in October. After that the following episodes will also be released.

Just in time for New Year’s Eve, Amazon.com gives us another chance to max out our credit cards. The retailer is running a nice Anime on Blu-ray Disc Sale with 26 titles from FUNimation including box sets, single releases and some niché live-action films.
Check the FUNimation studio listing at the Asian Blu-ray Disc Guide to see, which of these releases are locked to Region A and which will also play on European machines (some are Region A and B). In the comment section you should also see if these are just upscales or proper HD releases.

Yesterday FUNimation Entertainment announced that it has acquired the US distribution rights for the three Eden of the East movies from GitS: Stand Alone Complex director Kenji Kamiyama. The King of Eden and Paradise Lost, the two sequels to Production I.G’s original eleven episodes long series and the compilation movie Air Communication are supposed to be released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in 2011. The rights for the series have been acquired by FUNimation some time ago and a home video release has been mentioned in the insert included in the Evangelion 1.11 Blu-ray Disc package.
The King of Eden and Air Communication are already available on Blu-ray Disc in Japan since March 24th but unfortunately Kadokawa forgot to include English subtitles.
