20th Century Fox has released the cover art for the 10th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray Disc release of David Fincher’s Fight Club that will hit the US shelves on November 17th. I quite like the new “Banksy” styled art (even though I still dig the package of the soapy German steelbook release), but I think Fox would have really hit the jackpot by using the pink amaray case of the Japanese K-On! release!

First details for Joseph Kosinski’s (director for Tron (2): Legacy) upcoming sci-fi project have popped up at ComingSoon.net and TheMovingPicture.net. While both sources agree on the title Oblivion (not related to the Bethesda role playing game) and the fact that the film will be accompanied by a comic graphic novel, the summaries on both sites are quite different:

The story is set in post-apocalyptic Earth, where civilization lives above the clouds and scavengers illegally collect artifacts from the polluted and destroyed surface below. When one young scavenger discovers a crashed spacecraft planetside–and a beautiful women within–he rejoices at the find. Little does he realize that his discovery will lead him to a journey filled with romance, adventure and unimaginable danger.

TheMovingPicture.net:

The story centers on a battle-damaged soldier who, assigned to a desolate planet after a court-martial, patrols the bleak landscape in an effort to destroy the last vestiges of a primitive alien race. When a mysterious traveler arrives unexpectedly, their lives become inextricably linked as they are forced to question everything they know about this world and themselves.

They both sound pretty interesting especially after seeing the Comic Con footage for Tron: Legacy and with the mentioning of David Fincher as one of the producers.

Sweet frigid Panda! Kinowelt bzw. Amazon hat das erste Bild zur am 3. Dezember erscheinenden (weltweit ersten) Fight Club Blu-ray Disc veröffentlicht. Eigentlich bin ich ja kein großer Steelbookfan, der wirklich jeden Film in so stabiler Verpackung braucht und deutsche DVDs sind ja auch generell doof und uncool, aber hier passt es ganz einfach wie die Faust aufs Auge (oder sonstwohin). Das Teil kommt (bei entsprechenden Reviews und passendem Regionalcode) auf jeden Fall ins Regal!

Wow! mehr kann man zu dem Bilderfeuerwerk das The Cell Regisseur Tarsem Singh da im Trailer zu seinem neustem Werk The Fall [IMDb] abbrennt wirklich nicht sagen. Der Film ist bereits seit 2006 in Produktion und erzählt die Geschichte eines jungen Mädchens das während eines Krankenhausaufenthalts von einem bettlägrigen Patienten für kleine Auftragsarbeiten eine fantastische Geschichte erzählt bekommt bis beide nicht mehr zwischen Realität und Traum unterscheiden können. Der Film feierte im Januar in Russland seine Premiere und wird in den USA von David Fincher und Spike Jonze präsentiert, ich denke mal mit einem Deutschlandstart wird erstmal nicht zu rechnen sein
