New Trailer for Kenji Kamiyama’s 009: Re-Cyborg

Production I.G released a new trailer for Kenji Kamiyama’s (GitS: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East) CG Anime 009: Re-Cyborg about three weeks before the theatrical opening in Japan.

Synopsis:

The story begins in 2013 when skycrapers in London, Moscow, Berlin, and New York are destroyed by simultaneous bombings. The indiscriminate terrorism by an unknown group with unknown motives sets off widespread panic throughout the world.

There was once a group of nine cyborg fighters who rescued humanity from threats, but they had disbanded to their home countries. Now the man who created them, Dr. Gilmore, has summoned and assembled them back together again. However, the 00 Number Cyborgs’ former leader, a Japanese man named Joe Shimamura, is now living alone in Tokyo’s Roppongi with his past memories erased.

Watch Jesus Orellana’s post-apocalyptic Short ROSA now!

Eight months after the very first teaser trailer and several festival screenings, Spanish director and creator Jesus Orellana finally released his CG short ROSA into the web. All 9:50 minutes of it, in high definition and for free on Vimeo.

And boy was this worth the wait! Despite the short running time (well, it’s a short film after all) and several clear references to Ghost in the Shell and Casshern, Orellana manages to create his own post-apocalyptic world with characters who don’t need dialogue or introductions.
I can’t wait to see the aftermath of his announcement about a live-action full-lenght feature.
Synopsis:

In the near future, humanity has disappeared leaving behind a large megalopolis devoid of natural life. From the destruction awakes ROSA, a robot part of the KERNEL project, mankind’s latest attempt on restoring earth’s ecosystem with the recovery of long-extinct plant species.
Wandering among the ruins of the lifeless city, Rosa will soon discover that she is not the only part of Kernel that has awaken.

Now that’s what I call service! After the comment about the lack of recently released video footage in yesterday’s article about the CG short ROSA, director Jesus Orellana (who kindly said thanks on twitter) posted a new exclusive clip on the films Facebook page.

New Poster for Spanish Cyberpunk Short ROSA

A week before the free online premiere of his cyberpunk CG short ROSA Spanish director Jesus Orellana released a new poster artwork. I’d have prefered some new clips, but I guess they just want to tease us some more before November 11th.
