New Trailer for Kenji Kamiyama’s CG Anime 009: RE-CYBORG

New trailer for Production I.G and Kenji Kamiyama’s (GitS: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East) 009: Re-Cyborg, the CG rebirth of Shotaro Ishinomori’s classic 009: Cyborg.
It’s not quite as impressive as the four minute trailer that got released last October, but still promising. The film will open this Fall in Japan, just in time with Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo.

Synopsis (009: Cyborg)

During the tensions of the Cold War, a global organization led by Black Ghost wishes to lock the world in eternal warfare for profit. But in order to avoid destroying the world through nuclear warfare, Black Ghost has captured nine men and women. By turning them into cyborg soldiers, he aims to bring the war into the stars. However, Black Ghost did not count on his cyborg soldiers rebelling against his evil cause.

First Trailer for Underworld: Awakening 3D

I didn’t even know a fourth part of the Underworld series is currently in production, but I guess it wasn’t really a question with the still ongoing vampire vs. werewolf hype.
Despite a new pair of Swedish directors (Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein), the first trailer for Underworld: Awakening 3D looks exactly like the first three films: sparsely clothed werewolves, lots of firefights and Kate Beckinsale naked in her favourite leather suit…but this time in 3D (of course).

Epic New “3D” Trailer for Green Lantern

Synopsis:

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds).

Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity.

With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Stunning Trailer for Michel Ocelot’s Les Contes de la Nuit (Tales of the Night)

Here’s a new stunning trailer for Michel Ocelots Les Contes de la Nuit (Tales of the Night) that (even) I would love to enjoy in 3D just to see how they managed to combine the “new” technology with traditional silhouette animations. The film premiered during this years Berlinale in February and will open in French theaters in July.

Synopsis:

Every night, a boy, a girl and an elderly technician meet in a closed, rather dilapidated old cinema. But the old picture palace harbours a secret. If truth be known, the cinema is a magical place where the three friends enjoy rummaging about, fantasising, dressing up and playing parts in make-believe stories which, at night, become all too real for the three friends. For this is the time when sorcerers and elves take over in the auditorium, courageous stable hands long for beautiful princesses, werewolves howl and hard-hearted ladies swish their heavy silk skirts. Here, there are cities of gold and forests that are so deep that nobody ever finds their way out again. This is a magical universe pervaded by waves of harmony, where heavenly choirs compete with the dull thud of magical drums. On nights such as these, malevolence can unleash great misfortune. But, in the end, good always triumphs.
