REDLINE ab Oktober in Deutschland auf DVD und Blu-ray Disc

This article is about the German DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Takeshi Koike’s REDLINE Anime. Because it won’t include English subtitles or audio the full article is only available in German. Manga Entertainment UK will release two (Standard and Double Play) English friendly Blu-ray Disc versions on November 14th.

The country is split into warring factions, the citizens are starving, and recent political reforms have made matters worse, not better. The ruling Qing Dynasty, led by a seven-year-old emperor and his ruthless mother, Empress Dowager Longyu (Joan Chen), is completely out of touch after 250 years of unquestioned power. With ordinary citizens beginning to revolt openly, the Qing Dynasty has created a powerful, modern army (the “New Army”) to quash any rebellion. Zombies! School Girls! Poop! Poster for Noboru Iguchi’s ZOMBIE ASS

Looks like Machine Girl and RoboGeisha director Noboru Iguchi is at it again, this time he combines the more or less popular themes zombies, school girls, gore…and poop.
His latest film Zombie Ass will premiere during the upcoming Fantastic Fest in Austin.

Synopsis:

Wracked with guilt over the suicide of her sister Ai, who was tormented by high school bullies, pretty young karate student Megumi accompanies a group of older friends on a trip into the woods: smart girl Aya, her druggie boyfriend Tak, big-boobed model Maki, and nerdy Naoi. Things start to go badly when Maki finds a parasitical worm inside a fish they catch – and wolfs it down alive, in the hope that it’ll help keep her skinny! And then….zombies! The group is attacked by a crowd of poop-covered undead who emerge from an outhouse toilet, and seek refuge at the home of strange Dr. Tanaka and his daughter Sachi. But unbeknownst to them, Tanaka has been conducting experiments on the parasites–and the zombies!–and has another fate in mind for the five strangers from the city. What’s the connection between the parasites and the undead? And can Megumi’s karate alone help them escape, or will she have to rely on the liberating power of farts to save the day?

US Trailer for Tomas Alfredson’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy

Finally a new old-school espionage thriller without all-powerful high-tech gadgets and emo Tom Cruise in a hoodie! Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy stars Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy and John Hurt, and is directed by Tomas Alfredson who also brought us the fantastic Swedish vampire drama Låt den rätte komma in (Let the Right One In).

Synopsis:

The time is 1973. The Cold War of the mid-20th Century continues to damage international relations. Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), a.k.a. MI6 and code-named the Circus, is striving to keep pace with other countries’ espionage efforts and to keep the U.K. secure. The head of the Circus, known as Control, personally sends dedicated operative Jim Prideaux into Hungary. But Jim’s mission goes bloodily awry, and Control is forced out of the Circus – as is his top lieutenant, George Smiley, a career spy with razor-sharp senses.

Estranged from his absent wife Ann, Smiley is soon called in to see undersecretary Oliver Lacon; he is to be rehired in secret at the government’s behest, as there is a gnawing fear that the Circus has long been compromised by a double agent, or mole, working for the Soviets and jeopardizing England. Supported by younger agent Peter Guillam, Smiley parses Circus activities past and present. In trying to track and identify the mole, Smiley is haunted by his decades-earlier interaction with the shadowy Russian spy master Karla.
