New Longer Trailer for Goro Miyazaki’s Kokuriko-Zaka Kara (From Up On Poppy Hill)

I don’t know if From Up On Poppy Hill is the official English title for Kokurika-Zaka Kara (コクリコ坂から), Goro Miyazaki’s second anime at Studio Ghibli, but at least it’s a title I can remember.

Synopsis [via ANN]:

The manga is set in Showa 38 (1963, a year before the Tokyo Olympics) and follows the coming of age of an ordinary, pigtailed high school girl named Komatsuzaki in Yokohama, a harbor city near Tokyo. Her sailor father went missing after an accident, and her photographer mother is frequently going abroad for work. Her family now runs a lodging house. The manga recounts Komatsuzaki’s everyday life of “laughter and tears” with two boys — a school newspaper member named Shun Kazama and the student council president Mizunuma.

    das Titellied gefällt mir recht gut.
    Mit etwas Glück sehen wir den Film bereits 2013 in deutschen Kinos…

    Mh, du meintest vllt doch 2012, denn Arietty hat’s ja auch nach einem Jahr geschafft, wenn auch nur, in ein paar dutzenden Kinos gezeigt zu werden^^

    Ich hab das Gefühl, das der Film etwas schlechter animiert ist als Arietty oder Ponyo zum Beospiel…

    weiss nicht was ich davon halten soll, ich kann mit der Story bis jetzt nix anfangen, wobei ich aber den Style und die Animationen mag, aber ich werde bestimmt eines besseren belehrt, und hoffe mal das er bessere wird als “Erdsee”. :?
