Nice one! Looks like German distributor Universum Anime decided to mimick the amazing cover style of Studio Ghibli’s Blu-ray Disc releases for their own upcoming Blu-ray Disc of Hayao Miyazaki’s Ponyo.

First teaser trailer for Hitoshi Matsumoto’s (Symbol, Big Man Japan) latest film Saya Zamurai which will probably be a bit different from the samurai stories Japanese studios usually try to sell us…
Synopsis:
Takaaki Nomi plays a samurai named Kanjuro who decided to give up his sword after a certain incident. He wanders aimlessly with his daughter (Sea Kumada), but because he abandoned his position as a samurai without permission, a price is put on his head and they’re eventually captured. However, a notoriously eccentric feudal lord offers Kanjuro a unique opportunity to earn a full acquittal.

Synopsis:
Night Fishing (Paranmanjang) is a fantastical tale about a man who, while out fishing one afternoon/evening, catches the body of a woman dressed in white. While trying to untangle the line he faints and wakes up wearing the clothes that the woman was wearing. This tale of death only gets stranger from there.

The Franco-German culture channel ARTE aired a short report on Studio Ghibli’s latest film Karigurashi no Arrietty (The Borrowers) including some never before seen scenes and a short interview with director Hiromasa Yonebayashi who got a thumbs-up from Hayao Miyazaki himself after the first screening. The video is only available in German and French, but I guess you can enjoy the footage even if you don’t understand a word…
