Godkiller: Walk Among Us Complete Trailer

I’ve been reporting about the individual releases and episodes of Godkiller: Walk Among Us, the ‘illustrated film’ based on the comic from Matt Pizzolo and Anna Muckcracker for quite some time now. Now Halo-8 Entertainment has released a first trailer for the complete film that consists of all three episodes and will premiere during the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) on April 16th. If you can’t make it to Chicago, you’ll have to wait until May 25th when it will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc.

Synopsis:

Godkiller: Walk Among Us is the story of a boy on a quest to save his dying sister. It takes place in a dark future after economic collapse, after nuclear holy war, and after Earth is colonized by alien races. Tommy and his kid sister Lucy live in an orphanage in one of the few remaining city-states, but Lucy is critically ill and desperately in need of a new heart. Tommy’s odyssey to find a new heart for his sister begins when he follows an organ-stealing prostitute named Halfpipe out of the city-state and into the savage borderland known as Outer City.

New Trailer for Senko no Night Raid

After several production videos without any new footage, A-1 Pictures has finally releaed a new trailer for their upcoming espionage anime Senko no Night Raid. The first episode will air in Japan on April 5th and tells the story of a top secret unit of Japanese agents operating in Shanghai during the beginning of the Japanese occupation in 1931.
Unfortunately I can’t embed the video (it’s probably sworn to utmost secrecy) directly, so you have to click the image below to get to the offical site:

Two Posters for Like the Moon Escaping from the Clouds (Blades of Blood)

Two new posters for Lee Jun-Ik’s Korean wuxia drama Blades of Blood aka Like the Moon Escaping from the Clouds (구르믈 버서난 달처럼) that opens in Korean theaters in April 2010. I know that blind fighter (Hwang Jeong-Min) is trying to do his best Zatoichi impression, but somehow his face always reminds me of some other things…

Frame by Frame Video Introduction to Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

The friendly folks from Gamervision have created a nice introduction to the world of Scott Pilgrim based on the first trailer of Edgar Wright’s live-action adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s comic. Very recommended for those among us who (just like me) haven’t read the comic yet, but want to brag in front of the cool kids anyway…

Kickass Trailer for Black Lagoon Season 3

First trailer for the third season of the Black Lagoon anime from Studio Madhouse. It mainly consists of footage from the first two seasons and only shows a few new shots but kicks ass anyway! The trailer (like almost anything I wrote about last week) premiered on TAF 2010 and has been available on YouTube a few days now, but I wanted to show you a “clean” version without any j-pop or panting otaku in the background… ;)

The first OVA of the third season will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in Japan on July 17th from Geneon Entertainment.

More Asuka! Details for Evangelion 2.22 Announced

King Records announced some details for their upcoming (May 26th) Japanese DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance on their TAF2010 booth.
Just like with the first part of the Rebuild of Evangelion series, Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone, Gainax will include several adjustments/improvements and new scenes to upgrade the theatrical 2.0 version to the 2.22 home video version. Thanks to some more scenes featuring hot-headed Asuka and EVA Unit 03, the run time will grow from 108 minutes to 111 minutes and 49 seconds.
Other than the usual bonus material (AR script and promotion material like teasers, trailers and TV spots), the limited first press editions of the DVD and Blu-ray Disc will include a deluxe booklet and a film strip, but no English subtitles.
While Evangelion 2.0 is supposed to be released in Germany on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on July 16th, FUNimation hasn’t announced anything regarding their plans to bring it to the US yet.
