Halo Legends: Halo Anime by Production I.G, Bones & Studio 4°C

The L.A. Times reports that Microsoft will announce its upcoming Halo Legends project during Comic Con.
Halo Legends will be a series of seven short films, set in the universe created by the (in my eyes overrated) Halo video game series by Bungie & Microsoft, that will be animated (Animatrix & Gotham Knight style) by Studio Bones, Production I.G, Studio 4°C, Casio Entertainment and Toei Animation.
Appleseed director will helm the project as the creative director and will also direct his own episode telling the history of the Spartan warriors. Studio 4°C will deliver a double episode called Origins which compresses 100,000 years of Halo history in 30 minutes.

Starting this fall, Microsoft will preview the episodes on Xbox Live with Warner Home Entertainment releasing them on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in early 2010. A first trailer is supposed to be screened during Comic Con.

    Ich hasse Spieleumsetzungen, sei es Filme oder Anime oder beides zusammen. Die Spiele waren gut, auch von der Story her, aber für sowas ist definiv nicht genug dran. Hätte man ja am besten noch Uwe Boll als Regisseur besetzen können. :facepalm:

    Ist es nicht der Job von Animestudios aus etwas mittelmäßigem etwas grandioses zu machen? ;)

    Also ich fand die Spiele toll, den Kurzfilm von Neil Blomkamp auch, also immer her damit. :monkey:

    die story in den halo spielen ist nur ein kleiner teil. die bücher bieten viel potenzial für umsetzungen.

    allein schon die (tragische) vorgeschichte des master chiefs, dürfte einen grandiosen film abgeben.

    und der zeitraum der halo story erstreckt sich auf insgesamt 50 000 jahre. da ist genug platz für ein paar nette storys abseits der spiele.

    also nochmal: wird keine spieleumsetzung.

    Abgesehen von meinem Freudentaumel, denke ich geht es in die richtige Richtung. Statt noch einem Spiel, lieber auf die Leinwand damit.
    Ich freue mich, wie man sieht.

    4°C! Die könnten ein ARD/ZDF-Testbild produzieren und ich würds mir stundenlang anschauen. ^^

    Das Bones-Segment sieht aber auch nett aus.
