HomeTwo Theatrical Films for Eden of the East
Unlike reported back in February, Kenji Kamiyama’s anime series Eden of the East (Higashi no Eden) will not get one, but two theatrical adaptations! This has been announced at the end of the last episode (#11 The East That Goes On) that aired on June 18th in Japan.
The first film, The King of Eden is supposed to open on November 28th, three days after the last DVD and Blu-ray Disc volume hits the Japanese stores while Paradise Lost will open in January 2010. While no other details have been announced, I guess these two films will be real sequels to the tv series and not just some kind of unnecessary compilations because the amazing last episode left so many open questions and incomplete plot strands, there just has to be a sequel! You hear me, Kenji!
And because I don’t want to be the only one who can’t get the opening song (Oasis – Falling Down) out of his head, here’s the amazingly well done opening (again):

Wozu mache ich mir eigentlich noch die Mühe irgendwas von den großen Studios zu gucken wenns am Ende keinen ordentlichen Abschluss gibt?

hab die Serie auch fertig gesehen und muss dich fragen ob du nicht auch denkst, dass die Serie eine komische Atmosphäre hatte. Es gab Szenen bei denen man nicht wusste wie man sich fühlen sollte, ob man das weder ernst nehmen sollte oder lachen sollte, weswegen ich ein bisschen enttäuscht war.
