1001 Nights by Yoshitaka Amano

1001 Nights is a 24 minutes long short film produced by animation studio BS24 in 1998. The wild fever dreams of a prince and his princess were designed by Yoshitaka Amano who also did the character designs for the Final Fantasy game series and Vampire Hunter D.
This amazing combination of traditional 2D and 3D animation is only available on DVD in Japan and even there only from second hand dealers.

    I bought the DVD a couple of years ago for ~50 Euros (100 DM at this time) and I’m still happy to have this wonderfull piece of art in my collection. I felt that the price was quite reasonable and the picture quality is till awesome w/ my Toshiba XE-1 on my new TV. One of the discs in my collection I won’t miss :)
