Erster Teaser Trailer zu Robo-G (Robo Jî) von Water Boys und Swing Girls Regisseur Shinobu Yaguchi über eine Gruppe von Ingenieuren, die für eine Ausstellung einen alten Mann als Roboter tarnen. Ich bin gespannt.

Synopsis:

The story revolves around a team of three at a small electronics maker, who receive an order from the company president to develop a robot for the purpose of getting the company more exposure. However, one week before their planned announcement at a robotics expo, their robot gets destroyed, so in order to save face they decide to take the stage with an old man in a robot suit. Unexpectedly, their “robot” receives huge acclaim and fame.

Sehr schöner Trailer zum taiwanesischen Drama Starry Starry Night von Regisseur Tom Lin und Autor Jimmy Liao über zwei Teenager, die gemeinsam von Zuhause abhauen. Der Film feiert im Oktober seine Premiere auf dem Busan International Film Festival.

Synopsis:

12-year-old Mei grew up with her grandparents in the mountains, but now lives with her parents in the city. Her parents constantly fight and she is ignored at home. Mei withdraws into her own world and imagination.
One day Mei meets transfer student Lee. Mei takes a liking to Lee who seems as withdrawn to the world as Mei. After Mei saves Lee from bullies their friendship becomes real. As Mei home life worsens and her parents announce their announce, Mei turns to Lee and plan their escape …

Erster Trailer zu Huhn mit Pflaumen (Poulet aux prunes) von Vincent Paronnaud und Marjane Satrapi, die beide bereits beim französisch/iranischen Animationsfilm Persepolis Regie geführt haben. Satrapis Comicvorlage über das Leben und Sterben des iranischen Musikers Nasser Ali Khan (der Großonkel der Autorin) ist in Deutschland bereits erhältlich.
Der Film wird bei den Internationale Filmfestspiele von Venedig seine Premiere feiern und Frankreichs Kinos ab Oktober beehren. In Deutschland muss man sich dank Prokino bis Januar 2012 gedulden.

Synopsis:

Tehran, 1958. Nasser Ali Khan (Mathieu Amalric), a most celebrated violin player, has his beloved instrument broken by his wife. Unable to find another to replace it, life without music seems intolerable. He stays in bed and slips further and further into his reveries from his youth to his own children’s futures. Over the course of the week that follows, and as the pieces of the story fall into place, an understanding is reached as to why he would give up life for music and love.

When a mother and daughter are found brutally murdered in 19th century Baltimore, Detective Emmett Fields (Luke Evans) makes a startling discovery: the crime resembles a fictional murder described in gory detail in the local newspaper–part of a collection of stories penned by struggling writer and social pariah Edgar Allan Poe (John Cusack). But even as Poe is questioned by police, another grisly murder occurs, also inspired by a popular Poe story. Realizing a serial killer is on the loose using Poe’s writings as the backdrop for his bloody rampage, Fields enlists the author’s help in stopping the attacks. But when it appears someone close to Poe may become the murderer’s next victim, the stakes become even higher and the inventor of the detective story calls on his own powers of deduction to try to solve the case before it’s too late.

Wahrscheinlich weil Manga Entertainment und andere westliche Vertrieb es seit mehreren Jahren nicht hinbekommen, Makoto Shinkais 5 Centimeters per Second Anime endlich auch mit verständlichen Untertitel hochauflösend auf den Markt zu bringen, hat sich der japanische Vertrieb ein Herz gefasst und veröffentlicht den Film nun endlich selbst untertitelt.
Die am 18. November erscheinende “Global Edition” Blu-ray Disc wird neben dem Hauptfilm auch Voices of a Distant Star sowie den Kurzfilm She and Her Cat enthalten. Der Hauptfilm bringt neben dem japanischen Originalton auch die englische Synchro, sowie Deutsche, Englische und diverse andere Untertitel mit. Das Bonusmaterial (inkl. Voices und Her Cat) ist ebenfalls englisch untertitelt. Sehr löblich!

Ich wußte garnicht, daß ein vierter Teil der Underworld Reihe in Planung war, aber bei dem noch immer aktuellen Vampire und Werwolf Hype verwundert es mich garnicht.
Der erste Trailer zu Underworld: Awakening 3D sieht trotz des neuen schwedischen Regisseurduos Måns Mårlind und Björn Stein zumindest genauso aus wie die ersten drei Teile: Werwölfe mit freiem Oberkörper, viel Geballere und Kate Beckinsale nackt im engen Lederdress…diesmal nur in 3D (natürlich).
