Manchmal lohnt es sich eben doch aktualisierte Newsmeldungen nochmal genauer zu lesen.
So berichtet (die) DVD Times in einer aktualisierten Meldung, daß die am 26. Oktober erscheinende UK Blu-ray Disc von Ghost in the Shell 2.0 neben der überarbeiteten 2.0 Fassung als “Bonus” auch die Originalversion von 1995 beinhalten wird. Leider soll die Bildqualität des Originals nicht besonders überragend sein:
The original movie is on the Blu-ray and is in HD, but it’s 1080i and has to be the worst transfer I’ve ever seen on Blu-ray. The source looks like a VHS tape.
Ich _vermute_ mal daß Manga Entertainment UK hier eigenhändig rumhantiert und (aus rechtlichen Gründen) nicht einfach den Transfer der japanischen 1.0 Blu-ray Disc übernommen hat.

Die japanischen Blu-ray Disc Veröffentlichungen von Ghost in the Shell haben alle englische Untertitel.

Ich freu mich auf die UK-Version, magere Bildquali hin oder her, ist ja nur ein Extra. Und das liegt echt auf einer BD vor? Deswegen ist die Original-Version wahrscheinlich nur in 1080i. Bei den Comments der DVD Times ist ja teilweise von 2 Discs die Rede…

Abgesehen von der sündhaft teuren Disc aus Japan.
Da will man den Fans einen Gefallen tun und entscheidet sich beide Versionen auf einer BD zu veröffentlichen, krankt dann aber an der Umsetzung. Dann hätte man es einzeln herausbringen sollen.

Denn die Uk Version wird wohl für mich als deutschen endkunden das einzige sein was annähernd meine Bedürfnisse deckt.
Denn mit ner deutschen Adaption kann man, wenn überhaupt, erst in 2 Jahren mit rechnen. Schade, denn mir gefällt die deutsche syncro besser als die englische oder die japanische.
Ist denn der Scenenschnitt in der 2.0er vollkommen identisch mit der der originalversion? Wenn ja könnte man ja ne deutsche Tonspur drüber legen …
