AV Watch hat mal wieder etwas Licht ins Dunkel um die hier erwähnte japanische Blu-ray Disc Veröffentlichung der Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex TV Serie gebracht. Demnach handelt es sich bei der Veröffentlichung (wie erwartet) nicht um eine Einzeldisc sondern um eine Box, welche die ersten 13 Episoden der ersten Staffel auf drei BDs enthält. Die zweite Box mit den restlichen Folgen erscheint am 25. September. Die Boxen für Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG kommen am 25. November und 22. Dezember auf den Markt.
Laut den Bandai Visual Produktseiten (1-2-3-4) sind alle Boxen mit einer englischen DD 5.1 Tonspur ausgestattet, ob es auch englische Untertitel (wie bei der Veröffentlichung der Zusammenschnitte + Solid State Society) gibt konnte ich leider nicht genau entziffern/übersetzen lassen [Japanese with subtitles (ON OFF possible)]. Japanisch gibt es in Dolby TrueHD 5.1 und PCM Stereo, videomässig liegen die Episoden, wie so oft bei TV Serien in 1080i vor.
Update: Die extra für die Boxsets angelegte japanische Website macht leider klar, daß es nur japanische Untertitel geben wird. Muss ich die 500€ wohl in andere Dinge investieren…
