Rund zwei Wochen nachdem auch Tartan UK seine Pforten geschlossen schließen musste, hat Palisades Media bekannt gegeben sich nach den US Rechten nun auch um die europäischen Rechte für die bislang von Tartan UK vermarkteten Titel zu kümmern. ShockTillYouDrop hat dazu eine Pressemeldung von Palisades veröffentlicht:

[...]“We are thrilled to own the rights to the majority of both Tartan libraries and look forward to giving these films the kind of treatment they deserve and the attention that fans of independent cinema will truly appreciate.”
Palisades hopes to start releasing new titles this winter in the US beginning with a host of Asia Extreme titles. The next month will feature a diverse slate of independent films. Boxsets, 2-packs and blu-rays are also in the works. All upcoming UK releases are still TBD.

Der letzte Abschnitt liest sich ja schonmal ganz gut, ich hoffe mal daß die angekündigten Blu-ray Fassungen von Sympathy for Lady Vengeance und A Tale of Two Sisters nicht allzu lange auf die lange Bank geschoben werden. Zumal sie ja sicherlich schon fertig gemastert und gepresst sein dürften, sowas wird ja auch nicht erst wenige Tage vor der Veröffentlichung erledigt.
